General & booking
1201Should I choose a Private Tour, Tailor-made Itinerary, Private Charter or Camping Tour?+
Choose a Private Tour if you would like to select one of our existing itineraries and travel privately with your own family or friends. Choose a Tailor-made Itinerary if you would like us to design your journey from the ground up according to your budget, travel dates, interests and preferred pace. Choose a Private Charter if you already have an itinerary or destinations in mind and only require a private vehicle and professional driver-guide. Choose a Camping Tour if you would like a private camping experience centred around tents, outdoor activities and shared participation within your own group. Camping Tours are part of our Private Tour range, with additional camping-specific arrangements.
02What information should I provide when making an enquiry?+
To help us assess your requirements accurately and prepare a suitable quotation, please provide your preferred travel dates, number of travel days, number of adults and children, room configuration, budget, preferred regions, flight details, number and size of luggage items, and any dietary, mobility or special assistance requirements. The more complete the information, the more effectively we can recommend the most suitable service.
03What is the booking process?+
The usual process is: submit an enquiry form, discuss your requirements with one of our travel consultants, receive recommendations or a written quotation, confirm availability, accept the quotation and make the required payment, and then receive your formal booking confirmation. For a Tailor-made Itinerary, the itinerary-design process is completed first, followed by the booking of accommodation, transport, activities and other services.
04How far in advance should I book?+
We recommend completing your enquiry and booking at least 35 days before departure. For school holidays, festivals, wildflower season, Christmas, Lunar New Year and other peak travel periods, we recommend contacting us earlier. Enquiries made within 35 days of departure are still welcome, but all arrangements are subject to driver-guide, vehicle, accommodation and activity availability, and some services may no longer be available.
05Is a deposit or full payment required, and which payment methods do you accept?+
Payment requirements depend on the type of service and the written quotation issued for your booking. Some regular tour products or charter services may require full payment upon confirmation, while private multi-day tours or tailor-made journeys may use a deposit-and-balance arrangement. Your formal quotation and invoice will clearly state the amount due, payment deadlines and applicable terms. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers. Processing fees may apply to certain payment channels, and any bank charges associated with international transfers are payable by the sender. Please only use the payment details provided on an official invoice or in our formal payment instructions.
06What happens if I need to change or cancel my booking?+
All changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing by email or WhatsApp. Under our current general terms, services booked directly with G.T.A. Perth Travel are subject to the following cancellation charges: 10% of the total tour price when cancelled 35 days or more before departure; 50% when cancelled fewer than 35 days but at least 21 days before departure; and 100% when cancelled fewer than 21 days before departure. No refund is available for no-shows or failure to join the booked service. For a confirmed booking, changes requested 35 days or more before departure are generally subject to an AUD 100 administration fee per change, in addition to any supplier charges or non-refundable costs. Certain products or third-party booking platforms may have different conditions. If there is any difference, the accepted written quotation, invoice and applicable Terms & Conditions for your booking will take precedence.
07Is travel insurance compulsory?+
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase suitable and comprehensive travel insurance as soon as their booking is confirmed. G.T.A. Perth Travel holds AUD 10 million in public liability insurance, but this does not replace a guest's personal travel insurance. Your policy should be appropriate for your individual circumstances and may need to cover medical expenses, accidents, emergency assistance and repatriation, trip cancellation or curtailment, luggage and valuables. Each guest is responsible for reading the policy wording and ensuring the cover is suitable for their journey.
08Is G.T.A. Perth Travel licensed, and what safety measures are in place?+
We are a locally based Western Australian tour operator. We arrange appropriately licensed drivers, commercial tour vehicles, pre-departure vehicle checks, driver fatigue-management procedures and emergency protocols in accordance with applicable requirements. Satellite communication and tracking equipment may be used for remote-area journeys where appropriate. Safety arrangements may be adjusted according to the route, activity and conditions on the day, and all guests must follow the driver-guide's safety instructions.
09Can you book international or domestic Australian flights?+
We primarily provide ground travel services within Western Australia, including itinerary planning, private tours, charter transport, accommodation, attractions and activity arrangements. International and domestic Australian airfares are generally not included. Guests are also responsible for ensuring that their passports, visas and entry documents are valid. If you would like your ground arrangements designed around your flights, please provide your flight details when making an enquiry.
10Which languages can you communicate in, and who will look after my booking?+
We can communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Each booking is managed by our team through shared company communication channels and a central booking record. Depending on the time and stage of your booking, you may receive replies from a travel consultant, manager or company representative. If required, we can also arrange a phone call or Google Meet before departure so you can confirm the itinerary details with the relevant team member or driver-guide.
11Is tipping required?+
No. We do not charge or request tips. If you are happy with our service, a genuine comment, review or simple thank-you is already greatly appreciated by our team.
12Can solo travellers book with you?+
Yes, depending on the type of service. Private tours are generally priced based on a minimum of four guests. Groups of one to three may still book, but the minimum four-person charge may apply. Accommodation or tent arrangements will depend on the group configuration and the terms of the relevant product.
Private tours
2001What is a Private Tour, and how is it different from a Shared Group Tour?+
A Private Tour is provided exclusively for the family members and friends included in your confirmed booking. We will not add unrelated guests without your consent. The itinerary will operate in accordance with the selected product and the arrangements confirmed in writing, with reasonable adjustments available before booking to suit your group’s preferred pace, arrival and departure dates, accommodation, activities and dietary requirements. Shared Group Tours, by comparison, operate on designated departure dates, require a minimum number of participants to proceed and generally follow a more fixed itinerary.
02Can I choose the departure date for a Private Tour?+
Yes. A Private Tour can be arranged around your flights, travel duration and group requirements. All dates remain subject to vehicle, driver-guide, accommodation and activity availability, so we recommend enquiring early, particularly during school holidays, festivals and peak travel periods.
03How is the tour price calculated? Is it cheaper with more guests?+
The per-person price of a Private Tour is calculated according to the departure date, number of guests, room configuration, accommodation standard, travelling distance and selected activities. In general, a larger group can share the cost of the vehicle and driver-guide. However, single rooms, nominated hotels or special activities may involve additional charges. Once the final guest numbers and accommodation requirements are known, we will provide a clear written quotation.
04What is the minimum and maximum number of guests for a Private Tour?+
Private Tours generally have a minimum charge based on four guests. Groups of one to three are welcome to enquire, but the price is normally calculated on the four-guest minimum. For comfort and safe operation, one of our current tour vehicles generally carries a maximum of ten guests. Groups of more than ten may be accommodated with additional vehicles and a separate quotation.
05What is normally included in the tour price?+
The exact inclusions depend on the individual itinerary and quotation. A private multi-day tour will normally include private transport during the tour, a professional driver-guide, specified accommodation, and any attraction admissions or meals expressly listed in the itinerary. Optional activities, personal expenses, unlisted meals and drinks, hotel incidentals and airfares are generally excluded. All inclusions and exclusions will be stated in writing before payment.
06What is the difference between the standard and upgraded accommodation options?+
The standard option uses good-quality, suitably located hotels along the route or the best appropriate accommodation available in the region. The upgraded option uses higher-category accommodation in cities or regions where suitable premium hotels are available. Some remote areas do not have genuine five-star hotels, so an upgraded package does not necessarily mean five-star accommodation every night. Your quotation will specify the proposed accommodation in each region and the number of upgraded nights.
07Can I nominate a hotel, and when will my final accommodation be confirmed?+
Yes. You may request a preferred hotel or room type, and we will assist subject to availability, room rates and the hotel's location in relation to the itinerary. If a nominated hotel is away from the original route, the daily sequence may need to change, travel time may increase, or an accommodation price difference may apply. We will explain any impact before confirmation. At the quotation stage, we will provide proposed hotels or equivalent accommodation. Once the required payment has been received and the reservations have been completed, the hotels will be confirmed based on actual availability. Confirmed accommodation will not be changed without reason, except where requested by the guest, required by an itinerary adjustment, or caused by circumstances outside the supplier's or our reasonable control.
08How are rooms allocated, and is there a single-room supplement?+
Rooms are allocated according to the travelling relationships and room requirements provided by the guests, and are generally priced on a twin-share basis. A single-room supplement applies when one guest occupies a room alone, with the amount depending on the hotel, region, travel dates and product. Room sharing on a Private Tour will only be arranged within your own travelling group. If you do not wish to share a room with another member of your group, please advise us before the quotation is prepared.
09Is breakfast included?+
Unless expressly stated in the quotation, breakfast is generally not included in the tour price. Some touring days begin early, and we can recommend suitable cafés or breakfast stops along the route. If you prefer breakfast at your hotel, we can also enquire about add-on options, service times and applicable charges.
10Are other meals included? Can you make restaurant reservations and assist with dietary requirements?+
Your quotation will clearly identify any meals that are included. Other meals are usually left flexible so guests can choose according to their preferences and budget. Our local team can recommend restaurants that suit the daily route and assist with reservations. Unless a meal is expressly included in the quotation, the cost is payable directly by the guest. Please advise us at the time of booking, and as early as possible, of any food allergies, vegetarian, gluten-free or other dietary requirements. We will pass these requests to the relevant venues, but we cannot guarantee that every restaurant or remote-area location can fully accommodate all requirements.
11When should optional activities such as 4WD sand-dune experiences or a Pink Lake scenic flight be booked?+
Once the main itinerary has been confirmed, we can recommend suitable options and assist with reservations according to the route, weather, supplier schedules and your preferences. Activity prices may vary depending on the vehicle type, private-service format, flight duration, aircraft type and season. Final pricing and confirmation are subject to the supplier's current quotation and availability.
12How much time will we spend driving each day, and what are the usual start and finish times?+
Distances between attractions in Western Australia can be significant, and some days involve longer drives. Individual driving sectors are generally between approximately 15 minutes and 2.5 hours. Sightseeing stops, toilet breaks, rest periods and meal stops are incorporated along the way so guests are not expected to remain in the vehicle continuously for long periods. Some long-distance days may begin at around 7:00 am, while more relaxed days may start later. The expected pick-up and finish times will be stated in the final itinerary and may be reasonably adjusted according to daylight hours, traffic, weather, attraction opening times and conditions on the day.
13Can you arrange Perth Airport transfers?+
Yes. We can provide a quotation for a private airport transfer based on your flight time, arrival terminal, number of guests and luggage. Your quotation will clearly state whether airport transfers are included in the tour price. Guests arriving in Perth should allow sufficient time for immigration, baggage collection, travel to the hotel and rest before the tour begins.
14How much luggage can the vehicle carry, and can luggage be stored at a Perth hotel during the tour?+
Luggage capacity depends on the number of passengers, the dimensions of each item and any other equipment being carried. When enquiring, please provide the number of large suitcases, carry-on bags and special items. If the luggage is excessive or bulky, a luggage trailer and additional charge may be required. If you stay at the same Perth hotel before and after your regional tour, we can ask the hotel whether it can store your luggage. Acceptance, storage duration and any charges are determined by the hotel and remain subject to its confirmation.
15Can the itinerary be changed, and how can I avoid repeating places during my free time in Perth?+
Before booking, you may request that attractions be removed, replaced or added. We will assess the route, opening times and any additional costs. Once the booking is confirmed, accommodation, activities and daily routes will progressively be secured. Major changes after confirmation may incur administration charges or supplier fees, or may not be possible. If you have free days in Perth before or after the formal tour, please tell us which places you are considering. We can identify whether city attractions, Kings Park, Fremantle or other locations are already included and help you avoid unnecessary duplication.
16Can you arrange wildflower viewing, whale watching or other seasonal experiences?+
Yes. We can recommend suitable experiences based on the season, region, arrival time and final route. Wildflower conditions depend on rainfall, temperature and the season in that particular year. Whale watching and other wildlife experiences also depend on weather, sea conditions and the natural movement of animals. We therefore cannot guarantee particular flowering conditions, species or sighting times. Any third-party sighting guarantee is subject to the supplier's official terms.
17Are there opportunities for stargazing, and is a telescope provided?+
Remote areas often provide excellent stargazing conditions when the sky is clear and light pollution is low. Professional astronomy guiding, telescopes and photographic equipment are not normally included in a Private Tour. If stargazing is a priority, please tell us before the quotation is prepared. We can investigate adding a professional activity or recommend that you bring a suitable camera and tripod. Viewing conditions depend on cloud cover, moon phase, season and weather.
18Will drone footage be provided during the tour?+
Drone filming is not a guaranteed professional photography service. If the driver-guide has suitable equipment, and weather, wind conditions, site restrictions and aviation rules permit, we may provide some simple aerial footage at no additional charge. Whether filming can take place and whether footage can be supplied will always be subject to safety and legal requirements on the day. If you require guaranteed filming, specific shots or professional editing, we can assist with arranging a separate professional service.
19What happens to the price if the number of guests increases or decreases later?+
Private Tour pricing is based on the final number of guests and room configuration. A change in guest numbers may affect the per-person price, single-room supplements, vehicle arrangements, hotel availability and activity reservations. Please advise us as early as possible. Guests added after a payment or supplier-confirmation deadline may be required to pay in full immediately, and all accommodation and activities will need to be reconfirmed.
20Are Private Tours suitable for children, older guests or guests with limited mobility?+
A Private Tour can be paced for guests of different ages and abilities, but not every attraction, walking trail or activity is suitable for every person. When enquiring, please provide the ages of any children, the needs of older guests, walking ability, medical considerations and accessibility requirements. We will assess the route and available arrangements. For safety, each guest remains responsible for ensuring that they are fit to participate in the confirmed activities.
Tailor-made itineraries
1001What is a Tailor-made Itinerary, and how is it different from a Private Tour or Private Charter?+
A Tailor-made Itinerary is a Western Australian ground-travel plan designed from the ground up around your travel dates, budget, interests, group members and preferred pace. A Private Tour is normally adapted from one of our existing tour products, while a Private Charter is for guests who provide their own principal route or destinations and require a vehicle and driver-guide. Our Tailor-made Itinerary service is suited to guests who would like a specialist to coordinate the overall route, accommodation, activities and booking connections.
02Is this service suitable for families, couples, honeymoons or groups of friends?+
Yes. We design each itinerary around the ages, interests, room configuration, dietary requirements, walking ability and budget of the travelling group. This may include relaxed family holidays, couples' journeys or honeymoons, premium small-group trips with friends, nature and wildlife experiences, food and wine journeys, or other special-interest themes.
03Can the itinerary include popular attractions, lesser-known places and special experiences?+
Yes. We can combine popular destinations such as Perth, Kings Park, Margaret River and Western Australia's national parks with local experiences that suit the available time and road conditions. We can also investigate camping, wine experiences, wildlife activities, scenic flights and other options. The itinerary will use roads and areas that can be accessed legally and safely. Specialised off-road or technical activities must be provided by an appropriately qualified supplier.
04How does the Tailor-made Itinerary process work?+
We first discuss your preferred dates, group size, travel duration, budget, accommodation requirements, interests and any special needs. Once the itinerary-design fee has been paid, we prepare the first draft. You may submit feedback during the specified revision period. After the itinerary is approved, if you appoint us to arrange the journey, we will confirm the availability and total cost of accommodation, transport, activities, admission tickets and other services.
05How much is the itinerary-design fee, and can it be credited towards a later booking?+
The current itinerary-design fee starts from AUD 180. It is payable before detailed consultation and design work begins and is non-refundable. If you subsequently confirm the complete journey with G.T.A. Perth Travel, the itinerary-design fee already paid may be deducted from the final journey price.
06How many revisions are included with the first draft?+
After receiving the first draft, you may request an unlimited number of reasonable revisions within seven calendar days. After the seven-day revision period, each further update is subject to an AUD 100 administration fee. If you change the overall travel dates, destination, duration, budget or group structure and the itinerary needs to be redesigned, this may be treated as a new design project and quoted separately.
07How long will it take to receive the first itinerary draft?+
The first draft is generally provided within 48 hours after we receive the design fee and all required travel information. Large or multi-region itineraries, or those requiring enquiries with several suppliers, may take longer. If additional time is likely to be required, we will advise you of the expected timeframe before work begins.
08Can you arrange transport, accommodation, restaurants, activities and admission tickets together?+
Yes. We can provide a coordinated Western Australian ground-travel service, including airport transfers, a private vehicle and driver-guide, accommodation, selected restaurants, attractions, activities and admission tickets. Every item remains subject to supplier confirmation and final pricing. International and domestic Australian airfares are generally not included.
09Can the itinerary still be changed after it has been confirmed?+
You may request changes, but we will need to reassess availability, daily routing, driver fatigue-management requirements, attraction opening times and any third-party costs already paid. Major changes after confirmation may involve an AUD 100 administration fee, accommodation or activity price differences, and supplier cancellation or amendment charges. Some items may not be changeable. We will not create an unsafe or unreasonable schedule simply to include more attractions. Daily service and driving arrangements are designed according to our operational limits, required rest periods and applicable fatigue-management requirements.
10How do I begin planning a Tailor-made Itinerary?+
Please submit our enquiry form with your preferred dates, number of guests, travel duration, budget, accommodation requirements, preferred regions and any special needs. We will first assess whether the Tailor-made Itinerary service is the right option, then explain the design fee, expected delivery time and next steps.
Private charter
1101What is the difference between a Private Transfer, Private Charter and Private Tour?+
A Private Transfer provides direct transport from one location to another, such as Perth Airport to your hotel. A Private Charter provides a private vehicle and professional driver-guide for an agreed number of hours or days when you already have a principal route or destinations in mind. A Private Tour is a complete travel product, and its quotation may include accommodation, attractions, meals and activities.
02How is a Private Charter priced, and what information should I provide?+
Private Charter pricing is based on the date, service duration, travelling distance, route, number of passengers, child-seat requirements, luggage, overnight requirements and other operational considerations. When enquiring, please provide the pick-up and finishing points for each day, destinations, estimated times, passenger details and luggage information. We will then prepare a written quotation.
03What is included and excluded from a Private Charter?+
A Private Charter generally includes a private vehicle and professional driver-guide for the confirmed service period, basic assistance with loading and unloading luggage, and local information during the journey. Unless stated in the quotation, accommodation, meals, attraction and national park admission fees, activities, parking, third-party services and personal expenses are generally excluded.
04Which vehicle do you use, and how many passengers and luggage items can it carry?+
Our primary vehicle is a Toyota Hiace Commuter GL. Although it has 12 seats, we generally carry no more than ten guests to maintain comfort and luggage capacity. Actual luggage capacity depends on the number of passengers and the dimensions of each item. A luggage trailer and additional charge may be required for large quantities of luggage, oversized items or special equipment. Groups of more than ten may be assessed for alternative vehicle arrangements.
05What is the maximum number of charter hours per day?+
The service duration is based on the hours confirmed in your written quotation. Our normal daily operational limit is no more than 12 hours, including pick-up, driving, waiting time, luggage assistance and other work duties. The driver-guide must also take appropriate rest breaks in accordance with fatigue-management requirements. If the requested route exceeds safe or operational limits, we may recommend removing attractions, adjusting the sequence, adding an overnight stay or dividing the itinerary across additional days. The 12-hour limit is our company's service and safety operating limit. It should not be interpreted as a single statutory daily limit that applies to every commercial driver in Australia.
06Can I use the charter service for my own itinerary?+
Yes. If you already have a proposed route, we can provide general advice on driving time, sequence and basic feasibility. If you require us to design the daily route, accommodation, activities and associated bookings from the ground up, this will be treated as a Tailor-made Itinerary service and an additional itinerary-design fee will apply.
07Can you arrange an airport transfer, and what happens if my flight is delayed?+
Yes. We can arrange a private Perth Airport transfer based on your flight, terminal, number of passengers and luggage, with meet-and-greet assistance available where required. We monitor the latest available flight status when planning the service. At present, the first 45 minutes after the estimated arrival time are generally included without an additional waiting charge. Additional charges may apply after the complimentary waiting period. Final conditions will be stated in your transfer quotation.
08Can you provide a child safety seat?+
We have a limited number of child safety seats, which must be requested at the time of booking. Please provide each child's age, height and weight so we can confirm whether a suitable seat is available. If our existing seat is not appropriate, we will explain the available options and any applicable charges. All arrangements remain subject to the relevant Western Australian safety requirements.
09Do I need to provide accommodation and meals for the driver-guide on an overnight charter?+
When a Private Charter requires an overnight stay outside the Perth metropolitan area, guests are generally required to provide the driver-guide with safe and reasonable accommodation, preferably at the same property where the guests are staying. If accommodation is not provided, an accommodation surcharge will be stated in the quotation. A driver-guide meal allowance or related charge may also apply unless it is expressly included in the quotation.
10Can a Private Charter be used for weddings, family occasions or corporate events?+
Yes. A Private Charter can be arranged for family travel, wedding transport, corporate events, conferences, restaurant transfers or other lawful purposes. We will assess the schedule, number of passengers, luggage, pick-up and drop-off points, and any on-site waiting requirements.
11How do I book a Private Transfer or Private Charter?+
Please provide the date, time, pick-up and drop-off locations, destinations, number of passengers, details of any children, and luggage information through our enquiry form, email or WhatsApp. We will first confirm the route and operational feasibility, then issue a written quotation. We recommend booking early during peak periods to secure a suitable vehicle and driver-guide.
Camping tours
1501Who are Camping Tours suitable for? Are there age or fitness requirements?+
Camping Tours are suitable for guests who are willing to participate in pitching tents, outdoor cooking, walking and basic campsite duties. The generally recommended age range is 18 to 49. Guests aged 50 or over are welcome to contact us before booking so we can assess suitability. Guests under 18 must book and travel with a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. Age is not the only consideration; fitness, outdoor experience, health and willingness to participate are equally important.
02Can a solo traveller book, and how are tents allocated?+
Solo travellers are welcome to enquire, but Private Camping Tours have a minimum charge based on four guests. One to three guests may still book a private departure, but the total tour price will be calculated on the four-guest minimum. We do not add unrelated guests to your booking or arrange for unrelated guests to share a tent. Tents are allocated within your own travelling group according to group relationships, gender preferences and the available equipment configuration. Requests for additional single-occupancy tents may involve a surcharge and remain subject to equipment availability.
03What is the minimum and maximum number of guests for a Camping Tour, and how is the price calculated?+
Private Camping Tours generally have a minimum charge based on four guests and a maximum group size of ten. Groups of one to three may still travel privately, but the total price is calculated on the four-guest minimum. For five or more guests, the quotation will be recalculated according to the actual group size, tent configuration, vehicle, equipment and itinerary. Luggage and outdoor equipment may be carried inside the vehicle or in a luggage trailer, depending on the product requirements.
04Can I join if I have never been camping before?+
Yes. Some of our southern-region camping products are suitable for first-time campers, and the driver-guide will demonstrate how to use the tents and basic equipment. Guests must nevertheless be willing to take an active role in pitching tents, organising the campsite and preparing meals. A Camping Tour is not a hotel-style journey where all tasks are completed by the staff.
05What are the accommodation and sleeping arrangements?+
Camping journeys use the designated official campsites stated in the itinerary, together with suitable tents and camping equipment. Tent types, occupancy arrangements and sleeping equipment will be specified on the relevant product page or in the pre-departure information. Equipment may differ slightly from promotional photographs because of normal wear, maintenance or replacement, but we will provide equipment with an equivalent function and purpose.
06What do you provide, and what should guests bring?+
Depending on the product, we provide tents, sleeping bags, pillows, basic campsite equipment and cooking equipment. Guests should generally bring suitable clothing, enclosed walking shoes, a small travel bag, towel, swimwear, reusable water bottle, rain jacket, sun protection, sunglasses and personal items. Whether any other items are included or available for hire will be stated on the relevant Camping Tour product page or in the pre-departure information.
07Do the campsites have showers, toilets and electricity? Can I charge my devices?+
Facilities vary between campsites. Some locations provide showers, toilets and power, while others have more basic facilities. Please refer to the campsite information on the relevant tour page. Our tour vehicle has USB-C charging points, which are generally available while the vehicle is running. We recommend that each guest bring a portable power bank with a capacity of at least 10,000 mAh.
08What food is provided on a Camping Tour? Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?+
Some Camping Tour products use a self-selection and shared meal-preparation arrangement. Guests purchase ingredients at a local supermarket according to their own needs and prepare meals at the campsite using the basic cooking equipment we provide. This gives vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary preferences greater flexibility. However, guests remain responsible for reading food labels and managing serious allergy risks. Actual meal inclusions will be stated on the product page and in the quotation.
09Are drinks and snacks included?+
Unless stated on the product page, snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are generally not included. Please bring a reusable water bottle; drinking-water refill arrangements will depend on the route and campsite facilities. Alcohol may only be consumed in moderation and in accordance with campsite rules, local laws and safety requirements.
10Can I bring large luggage on a Camping Tour?+
We recommend storing any large luggage that is not required for the Camping Tour at the hotel where you stay before and after the journey, and bringing only a small travel bag. If you require other luggage-storage arrangements, please enquire before booking so we can confirm capacity, location and any applicable charges. Guests remain responsible for their own personal belongings at all times.
11Is there any free time during the tour?+
Yes. Camping Tours generally include a reasonable amount of time for guests to rest, take photographs or independently explore the permitted area near the campsite. Guests must still observe the driver-guide's instructions regarding departure and meeting times so the group can complete the itinerary within the available daylight, safety limits and scheduled timeframe.
12What safety measures are in place on Camping Tours?+
The driver-guide will explain the relevant safety requirements before departure and before campsite activities. First-aid, communication and emergency arrangements will be prepared according to the route. Satellite phones, GPS tracking or other safety equipment may be used in remote areas where appropriate. Guests must follow all instructions concerning fire, weather, walking trails, wildlife, campsites and general safety, and must disclose any health or mobility condition that may affect participation.
13How cold does it get at night, and what clothing should I bring?+
Temperatures vary according to the season and region. In winter, night-time temperatures in some areas may approach 0°C. Even during warmer seasons, wind or changing weather may cause temperatures to fall considerably. Please check the latest weather forecast before departure and bring warm layered clothing, enclosed shoes and a rain jacket. The product page will provide more specific seasonal recommendations.
14What happens in severe weather, during a bushfire warning or when a Total Fire Ban is in place?+
We follow official government warnings and assess road, campsite, weather and safety conditions. We may change the campsite, activity, route or cooking method when necessary. No fire will be lit during a Total Fire Ban or when other restrictions apply. If the original camping arrangement is unsafe or cannot proceed, we will implement an appropriate alternative plan in accordance with the product terms. Any refund or substitute arrangement will depend on unused third-party costs, supplier conditions and the formal booking terms.
15Can guests share photographs or videos from the journey? Will your team photograph guests?+
Guests are welcome to share photographs and videos voluntarily. Our team may also capture images to document the journey or for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please advise us before departure and remind the driver-guide on the day. Any public use of identifiable images will be handled in accordance with our image-consent and privacy procedures.
